When Doctors Fall in Love! Nigerian Wedding Presents Dr Seyi & Dr Tola’s Love Story | SC George Photography

Dr Seyi & Dr Tola have been together since 2007, that’s clearly 8 years now! The couple met at Medical school. Read their story below, be inspired!

How they met

Seyi and I met on my first day in Medical school in Ukraine in 2007. He was the very first person i spoke with when i got to Ukraine.

I was in the hallway of the hostel waiting to get my room sorted out when he walked up to me and said ‘hi’ and told me i looked familiar. I was like, ‘oh no, not another ‘look familiar’ story. I knew he was just trying to have a conversation so i held up the conversation.
Everyday after school, he helped me with some of the school work i missed because i had resumed late and i started growing fond of him. We started dating after a few weeks and have been since then.
Like every relationship, we had our ups and downs but we always found our way back to each other. Its been eight beautiful years and i would choose him a billion times and one if i had to do it over again.

The Proposal;

This was one thing i didn’t see coming at all.

It was our graduation dinner, my mum and grand aunt were both at the table with us.

They called Seyi up to give a speech which didn’t surprise me because he does stuffs like that all the time. I wasn’t even paying attention to what he was saying because i was having a conversation with my friend and i thought it was one of those regular speeches he gave.

All of a sudden i heard people screaming and clapping. Before i knew it, he was on one knee in front of me and asking me to marry him.

Even though we had been together for 6 years and i knew we were going to spend the rest of our lives together, i was definitely still shocked and caught unawares. I was too shocked to even say anything. Eventually i said yes and he put the ring on my finger.
That was the beginning of our forever journey.
