Nigerian Wedding: How To Differentiate Between Teal, Turquoise & Aqua Wedding Colors

Love Teal, Turquoise or Aqua but don’t know the difference? Today, we are excited to share with you the uniqueness of these awesome shades of blue-green mix.

Recognising or differentiating the colors, Teal, Turquoise, Aqua should be easy once you go through our wedding color scheme boards below. For example, if  you want a dark blue-green then it would be teal; a bright, medium to light tone with more blue than green is turquoise; and a soft color that is often called Tiffany blue is Aqua.

Sometimes, seeing a color and liking it is all that matters. However, knowing the name can actually make life easier, in terms of searching and putting ideas together. We hope this inspires you…xoxo

Teal is a dark blue-green and can really work for weddings in all seasons, depending on the color you pair it with. For example, Teal and gold is absolutely fab colour combination. Teal is a versatile color and can be paired well with a whole lot of colors, including red, silver, mangenta, yellow and many more!

2. Turquoise

Turquoise is the favourite of so many, as it’s quite cool and feminine. This color is perfect for bright summery wedding and fabulous beach weddings, and looks good on any skin tone, especially if you are considering your bridesmaids. It pairs well with a lot of colors from pink to yellow to vibrant red. Check out our previous posts on the many beautiful turquoise wedding color combination ideas HERE.

3. Aqua

Aqua is such a gorgeous color! This is one color I know you can rock from top to bottom and it will look amazing! Just like the bride above did on her traditional wedding…. all monochrome look or Aqua and white or Aqua and red would look fab.

We hope this post has helped you in understanding the different between these blue-green shades. Which color is your favorite? Teal, Turquoise or Aqua?

This is a very helpful post because so many do not know the difference among turquoise, teal, and aqua. And use them interchangeably! Especially, teal. So many call teal colored items turquoise. Lol.
