How I met my Uto-obi, from groom to be Emeka
Sometime in 2010, Jeni suddenly popped up on my bbm asking to make some outfits for a friend of hers, she didn’t get to make it and we just stayed on each others contact. We met Easter 2011 and trust me she was looking gorgeous. We kept in touch although she was out of the country for a long time after we met, during this time, I lost my Dad, she kept on checking up on me, I said to myself “that’s a nice girl to have”
So, I made up my mind that I was going to give this a shot, I waited patiently for her to come back and that felt like the longest wait ever. On the 28th of Sept 2012, which happens to be her sisters’ birthday, I asked her to be my girlfriend, it’s been rosy ever since.
Wanted to make it really special for Uto-obim(my sweetheart in ibo). I was coming for my dear friends wedding and I knew my family would be there, both immediate and extended, so I decided to use the opportunity to ask my Uto-Obi to be my wife. I didn’t know how I was going to do it, so I talked to the MC, my good friend Andre Blaze on how to go about it. He then called my friend(the groom) whom I styled on how to go about this huge step. My friend proceeded to acknowledge me in his vote of thanks for making him look dapper, then he was like “behind every successful man…………………..” he then asked for Jeni to come to the stage, I had hid away by then, so she came forth and was staring at my friend who didn’t say a word, I emerged from where I was without her seeing me, I knelt down behind her then my friend pointed to my direction, she turned & mehn the jumping was out of this world, I was like “please Lord let her not fall” the rest they say is history, I’m so looking forward to this journey.
