#Rikena2017: Beautiful Photos From Rita & Ikenna’s Classy Igba Nkwu Nwanyi Ceremony in Owerri | Weezy Scott Photography
There is so much grandness seeping from Rita and Ikenna’s Igba Nkwu Nwanyi ceremony that I am having a hard time picking out the highlights! We are reliving this beautiful couple’s big day with Weezy Scott Photography and in love with all these grand images.
Nominee Artistry polished this bride to perfection. And, we mean perfection! This beautiful princess was simply glowing with her flawless face beat! The bride slipped into a luxurious royal blue george wrapper and blouse with asymmetrical motif design work after getting all dolled up.
Keeping up with the tradition, the bride and groom performed their traditional wedding rite, sealed with prayers from the elders! We love how the wedding party got together to take a lot of shots before the wedding started, during and even after.
Nigerian Wedding tip – It’s always a good idea to get all those pics in before the ceremony, because Nigerian weddings have been known to cause a tear or a hundred!
Seat tight, as you’d love their love story and the beautiful snaps captured by Weezy Scott Photography.
How they met
Ike saw my picture on a mutual friends phone and asked for my number back in October 2016 …we then chatted for about 2 months before we planned to meet each other.. On our first date in December 2016, despite cancellation of his flight from Owerri to Lagos, he still made it to our dinner date. Ike took a taxi from Owerri to Lagos which was over 9 hours on the road just to meet with me.
I was ready and excited to see him… my make up was running down my face because of the long wait, however thank God I was patient enough to wait for him to arrive. We clicked on our first date, and I even remember telling him after the date that I would see him next December (2017), because he was going back to Manchester where he lives.. and he smiled and said that he would be back for me soon.
How he proposed
He kept to his word as he came back to Nigeria early in 2017 and asked if I could be his girl, then in June 2017 after my NYSC pass out course he organized a surprise dinner to celebrate it and there he went on one knee and asked me to marry him..!
It has been an amazing journey and it feels like I have known him all my life. Ike is so charming, kind, caring, selfless and God fearing, he is all I want in a man and much more.. we will be walking down the aisle at Holy Cross Cathedral, Owerri and look forward to an exciting 2018 together.
