Ahead of time I say?! About 2 months ago, I wrote a post featuring Burgundy , Maroon or wine whatever name you want to call it colour board. Check it out HERE….And fast forward till last week, Pantone has announced it as the 2015 colour of the year, named it Marsala!
Pantone is the global color authority, in terms of colour forecasts. And when they announced the color of the year, Marsala. They described as a naturally robust, an earthy red wine. Executive Director, Leatrice goes further to say, Marsala is a color that enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Personally, I agree that this color is pretty sexy and seductive.
Marsala compliments brown skin tones perfectly as you would see from the colour boards below. This color can be implementing as an accent color within your wedding decor, a bridesmaids dresses, groomsmen ties, cake or even used as a color combination in your makeup application and traditional attire.
A UNIFYING ELEMENT
The impactful, full-bodied qualities of Marsala make for an elegant, grounded statement color when used on its own or as a strong accent to many other colors.
A TASTEFUL HUE
Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness.
A Hearty Yet Stylish Tone
Add elegance to any room by incorporating this rich and welcoming hue in accent pieces, accessories and paint. Marsala’s plush characteristics are enhanced when the color is applied to textured surfaces, making it an ideal choice for rugs and upholstered living room furniture.
